In the 1980's in New Zealand there were only 5 Black Robins remaining. Thanks to amazing conservation efforts there are now over 200 at least. A 13 year old Black Robin called 'Old Blue' was largely responsible for repopulating the species.
'Old Blue' presented here is an A4 (29.7cm x 21cm) Giclee print on archival 300gsm paper using the finest archival quality inks. The image was painted using traditional soft pastels, photographed and edited using modern mixed-media production methods.
