This soft pastel painting was created intuitively but was perhaps inspired by the great poet Ted Hughes whose masterpiece poetry collection 'Crow', the tales of a mythical trickster crow was and still is one of my favourite books. Here is Crow, in space 'flying the black flag of himself' as Ted wrote.
Crow Nebula is an A4 (29.7cm x 21cm) Giclee print on archival 300gsm paper using the finest archival quality inks. The image was created using traditional soft pastel painting methods, photographed and edited using modern mixed-media production methods.
