Robins are my favourite birds and I have painted so many, but on this occasion I thought to experiment by painting the bird in an outline, almost monochrome effect and utilise the background space nebula for the colour. The effect seems somewhat psychedelic, which was not the intention, but I rather like it and hope you do too!
Robin in Space is an A4 (29.7cm x 21cm) Giclee print on 300gsm textured paper using the finest archival quality inks. The image was created using traditional soft pastel painting methods photographed and edited.
