For as long as I can remember there has been a Balloon festival in Bristol. Every summer the sky is filled with a party like atmosphere of multicoloured balloons of all shapes and sizes. A lot of them are works of art in themselves! It's truly a magical thing to witness, especially in summer evenings and was a subject that I had to paint. I've embellished my scene with a magical tree and magic birds along with the seven magic balloons!
Bristol Balloons is an A4 (29.7cm x 21cm) giclee print (which means high quality and long lasting) on 300gsm textured fine art paper using the finest archival quality inks. The image was created using traditional soft pastel painting on acid free black paper. It was then photographed and edited for print production using digital software.
