The inspiration for this piece came from a thrift store purchase of a golden bird on a saucer to keep loose change, keys or jewellery 'a few of my favourite rings' inscribed on the plate. I had also recently purchased the Sennelier range of translucent oil pastels with various shades of gold. And so was born 'Golden Bird in Flight'. I hope you like it :))
Golden Bird in Flight is an A4 (29.7cm x 21cm) giclee print (which means high quality and long lasting) on 300gsm textured fine art paper using the finest archival quality inks. The image was created using soft pastels and oil pastels on acid free black paper. It was then photographed and edited for print production using digital software.
