Welcome to The Cosmic Birds, the mercurial odyssey of Fine Artist Tony Vowles from Bristol in the UK. The arts available here are informed by many different creative tangents. From 2009 to 2012 I wrote one of the UK’s foremost Astrology blogs, having practiced from a young age and enhanced with studies at The London School of Astrology. Additionally, my writing has been widely published in the UK contemporary poetry press culminating with AHRC (Arts & Humanities Research Council) funding and MA Writing at Sheffield Hallam University.

My preferred mediums at present are soft/oil pastels & acrylics incorporating mixed-media elements like found items and digital editing but nothing is off the table! I create quickly and joyfully without too much philosophy or intent. Much of the work are ‘happy accidents’ as Bob Ross often said.

There are a range of archival quality ‘giclee’ prints available in my shop alongside original pastel and acrylic paintings, each item delivered first class using sustainable packaging.
